Looking for Gold Cross Match

the gold cross was "mexican match" ammo. IIRC it was Brazilian ball ammo with the 147 FMJ pulled and a 155 SMK Palma swapped in. I think one of the DCRA guys in Ottawa, Bullock(?) made it. If Paul Reibin doesn;t have it he will be able to tell you where to get it.

It shot very well in rifles with Palma, Obermeyer, RG chambers. 168 Norma or Federal would be more suitable in SAAMI or NM chambers

I think it changes from time to time depending on what components are available in bulk. The first batches were like you described. Later batches used different brass and the bullets are now 155 Hornady A-Max from the last ones I saw.
Some of the visiting teams to Canada use it to avoid the cost and hassles of bringing in ammo from home.

I've seen it with Winchester brass. I remember a practice shoot at Mons, Jim went along the firing line asking shooters to try a few rounds. Different bullet, case, primer and powder than what I was shooting, and the elevation was within half a minute of mine at 1000 yds. Grouped very well. What range will you be shooting?
