FWIW, Wholesale Sports around here has Remington .223 UMC bulk packs (1000rnd) for $499. SKU 79817, L334R3BP. Doesn't show up online, but they have them in store. 10% Service Discount off that too. That'd get you factory loads, versus re-loads. Cheapest bulk I've seen around (other than the Bucket o' Bullets sale Wholesale Sports just had which was $0.40/rnd).

For 223/556, cant really help, I did buy a lot a couple years ago and stacked it deep
