I hope I can post this in here, if not sorry I will remove. I have an old family 78’ Remington Wingmaster that has spent 99.99% of its life in a safe, nearly immaculate. This is not my wheelhouse, can anybody comment on value and desire-ability? Thanks in advance.

Totally agree with 3macs more info but I have seen original AP grades that sold for $99 new go for $500 to $700 on the used market and premium grades go for upwards of a $1000 plus totally stupid just like the housing market .
 
if it is a full choke its not worth much 300 or so if it has screw in choke 600 or so or you may get lucky and find a person wanting a mint old gun .. however a pic and proper discloser what it really is

My god. What rock did you crawl out from under especially a 78 model. Been 20 years since they sold for that
You would be hard pressed to find a VR full choke blued barrel for that price especially since remington went out of business
Last one I parted out added up to over 800 bucks
Not making any more of this quality

300?! I wish! I could buy every one I find for that and resell them for 600, which is well below what a prime late 70's WM is worth and still double my money and they wouldn't last 10 minutes in the EE!

Normally we are on the same page but not now on vintage wingmasters
Things have changed big time since the original remington closed . Best check them out again , especially parts if you are selling any . Items I could get 100 for are now 150-200 and no issues selling.
Have to remember the true remington wingmasters are no more regardless if the new company makes them. Not the same 870's and buyers want the old originals as would I
I hate to even say it but they are worth way more parted now than selling complete
Try to find original remington parts they have dried up

I know where all the Remington parts are down east in some ones basement.

Yep and they are staying there for a while yet :) But only shotgun stuff no rifle stuff any more
Cleaning the basement today in fact well for the last week really opening house junk boxes I call them that have not been opened in 27 years since we moved here. It is time to down size ( house) stuff LOL
Yep big box in with wife's stuff humm what is this. Like 1000 20ga and about the same of 16ga activ wads and maybe 500 new 16ga activ hulls what is that doing with her stuff LOL
