hi there. I was thinking of buying a 338 or 308 marlin express in stainless. leaning more towards the 338 right now. I was wondering if anybody knows where i could find a black sythetic stock for it because i noticed the fore stock is different than my 336 ss. i would also like to put an aperature sight on it like the factory type flip up one with guards on my lee enfield and i would like to have the front one as well with the pin in the middle and the heavy guards on each side of it.I plan on using the gun as the intermediate gun for deer elk maybe moose between the 30 30 and my 6.5 55 tikka. the gun will be carried with me walking, on the quad, and possibly in a scabbard on a motorcycle. The gun will be getting wet as i end up near or in the water way to often. any help is appreciated. thank you

I've got the 308marlin express. The blued one. I put the XS sights forward rail and ghost rings on mine. Let me know a time and I'll meet you at the range.

what are you doing friday or on the weekend assuming the road is still there

I get to work all weekend lucky me. I heard we may have the range until January as we are building a new one on the Robb road. I'm off most of next week. Evenings are fine too.

"...black sythetic stock..." Significant increase in felt recoil with any .338. However, for either, find the ammo first. The .338 Express runs around $34 per 20.

i work during the day next week but can meet you any evening that works for you. Any time after 5 pm works. I have a few different guns i will bring for you to try too.
