Looking for info about this rifle

My friend's father has this air rifle in the attic. He doesn't know much about it but believes it to be pretty scarce.

Anyone can give me some info and possibly a guesstimate of its value.

It is one of the first models of BSA air rifles. There are some small variations in the model until about 1917 ish when the cocking lever was held in place with a push button. One sold at the Courtney Gun Show last Sunday for $700 unless I am mistaken. That was the asking price at I think it went about late morning.

Yes and yours looks to be in as good condition as that one at the Courtenay gun show i was looking at it to!
