I had great success when I posted one of my old Milsurp rifles in this forum, and I am hoping for similar help for info on this BSA & M Martini Henry Falling Block Carabine, marked 1889. This rifle has been in my safe for the last 50 years. It chambers a .303 cartridge, which were loaded with black powder in the late 1800’s. It is missing the butt plate (brass?), front sight, and the sling mount from the front of the trigger guard. Does anyone have any detailed info on the proof marks, or a source for missing parts? I would also appreciate any estimation of the value of this rifle. Thanks in advance.
