Looking for info on old Bernadelli 12 Gauge

I inherited an old Bernadelli side by side. It was left to me by an Italian friend who passed away 5 years ago at the age of 80. He told me his father brought it with him when he came from Italy. It is unusual in that the action is opened by swinging the trigger guard forwards from the rear.

I have been unable to find any information about this shotgun (believe me I've tried). There is nothing I can find on this model in the FRT. Can anyone help shed some light on it's history? I can post pictures if needed although it looks pretty much like any other shotgun apart from this one thing.

Bernardellis are great shotguns, been around for a long time, but I have never seen an underlever style( not that that means anything!!)
I have owned a few, one was a side lock and the other two were false side plate box locks.
Shot very well and were well made.

The string round the stock was put there by the previous owner because he said the stock was so thin at that point that it hurt his hand when he fired it.
