Looking for info/value of Zoli and Browning shotguns

My girlfriends aunt had her husband pass away a couple years ago and he left her with a couple shotguns and might be looking to sell them. One is an Angelo Zoli over under and has the name Ghibli enscribed on the bottom. Looks to be a 12 gauge and is in great shape. The other is a semi auto Browning "light twelve". Its finish is kinda rough and needs wood finish and re bluing. Any info on value? Thinking of buying them but cant find much info on the Zoli.

Can not comment on the Zoli this morning, but the Auto 5 is in rough shape as you mentioned.
You might find a buyer at $200.00 used for parts or a beater for the trunk monkeys to use.
This is just my opinion and not meet to offend or insight a riot.

Unfortuneately, Rob is right. If you bought the Browning for $200. and had it re-blued and the wood redone, you would have $750 at least invested - enough to buy a pretty nice condition original Light 12.

I would take after that A-5 with some 0000 steel wool and oil.
See what comes off.
Too bad, because A-5's are my favorite.
Prime example of lack of oil and humidity factor.
Hope they clean up nice.
What choke is on the A-5?

Need a lot more info on the Zoli. I can't read what's on the barrels. Does it say a model somewhere? Is is double triggers, single non selective trigger or single selective? Does it have ejectors or extractors? What length barrels and what chokes? Zoli made a lot of guns of varying quality. One way to make a lower grade gun captivating to buyers was to embelish it with machine cut engraving. Also note that Angelo Zoli went out of business in 1987. It would be nice to see pics of the complete gun as well as the proof marks as the year it was made can likely be determined. If you check online sales, you will find many Angelo Zoli's that have very similar engraving that have sold for between $350.00 and $500.00. Whether the one in question is in that price range I do not know but it likely falls in there somewhere.

Zoli's were built in Brescia Italy and they were imported for brief period in the mid 80's AFAIK. They are very good quality guns but usually don't command money representative of an Italian double. Prices are in the $5-700 range for a nice one, there are some trap version worth a little more. Here's an ad from when they were being sold, it should answer most of your questions.

Ill have to go take another look at it to get more info/pics. I remember that it has removable chokes. One choke had two notches and the other had three. The only marking I saw was "GHIBLI" enscribed on the bottom of the receiver, but I didnt have the barrels off of it to check other markings.
 
Angilo Zoli went out of business in 1987. I am surprised it would have choke tubes in it from factory. It might have had unless someone had them installed. Mind you, if it didn't have them from factory there will be choke markings for each barrel, maybe little stars. There should also be a Roman numeral or letters for a date code.
 
Bumping this up for more info. Have the guns home now. The Zoli appears to have factory chokes as it came with 5 altogether and three were in Angelo Zoli marked containers. It is a 28 inch barrel and has ejectors and a selective single trigger. Still can't find any info online. Here are some more pictures.
