Looking for input/opinions.....

Well the time has come for me to finally pull the trigger and buy myself a good semi-auto shotgun. Having never owned one, I would like to once again tap the vast body of knowledge that is CGN, and ask the opinions of owners and those with experience for their thoughts, input and opinions on the three shotguns I am trying to decide between.

It should be noted that I intend to use this shotgun for basically everything; partridge, duck, goose etc. Key points for me are as follows;
- will the shotgun reliably cycle everything from cheap 2 3/4" right on up to 3 1/2" shells?
- durability of the finish (Realtree camo)
- ease of cleaning
- quality


The shotguns I am trying to decide between are:

- Benelli Super Vinci
- Browning Maxus
- Benelli Super Black Eagle II

I am only familiar with the SBEII as both my hunting buddies use them. Both cycle all shells reliably ( after 6 years one needed its recoil spring changed) and are of a handy weight for carry in the field.

Try to handle and shoot all three and buy the one that fits you best. Cannot go wrong with any of your selections they are all good guns.

Excellent advice which a few have given to me via pm. I should have mentioned in my op that I fully intend on handling and shouldering all three guns prior to deciding. In the end, if one feels "right" more than the others, I'd imagine that will be the choice.

I'm not a fan of Beretta shotguns... I am sure they are fantastic guns, but they are just not for me.

Both super vinci and sbe2 might struggle with the lighter loads (from what I've seen). The maxus should cycle everything just as well but the 3.5 inch version you'd buy might occasionally jam with the light garbage. Also, the maxus will be a softer shooter.

I know you didn't list it but I'd look into the Remington Versamax. Save yourself some cash and there have been almost 0 problems because of how simple the design is!
