Looking For: M1 Garand

I bought one. "New, old stock" Beretta receiver, new barrel, new stock. Gorgeous.

I just purchased an Garand with a Danish (Italian) receiver with a criterion barrel and it cost me $1350. and I thought that was a good price. At the Victoria gun show last fall there were 4 or 5 at around $1500.

THIS is why those Garands are $1800. A new barrel isn't cheap up here, neither is the full wood set, plus a gunsmith's time (and he has to know Garands).
