i'm talking about the one that looks like a wrench and holds firm to the barrel/gas housing, so you can use the butt wrench to easily dissassemble the gas system.
I'm currently using a Sadlak wrench right now at my clinics. I cannot recall what I did with my Clint McKee Fulton Armory wrenches from Brownells.
If you are super cheap, you can make your own with a drill press, and a cheap plastic cutting board (about 1/2" thick or more) from the Dollar Store. Pattern ? Just trace you gas cylinder lock if you have the means (castle nut pliers) to get it off the barrel. Luckily all of this ain't rocket science!
Fab use to carry them, but don't see any now. Can't say I have seen any on the supporting dealer sites either. Brownells will charge $30 for the postage alone. As I said, your best bet is Ebay.
You good with a hacksaw and a file? I can email you a tracing of mine.
Do you really need one? Most anything in the tool box seems to work. I think the last time I needed one, I used a crescent wrench and a heavy cloth or some such bubba device... . This seems to be one of those tools only M14doctor would really need but whatever... . I had quite a few gassy wench jokes too, but I wasn't in the mood...
I made up a few of those wrenchs years ago from 1/4" flat bar.........not hard to do and cheap to make..............Hey Barney, you still got that one I made for you ????
