I've been thinking of irresponsibly over paying for something recently and want some reviews before I do.

I'm building a lightweight backpacking rifle that I will also plink steel with. So the lightweight of the Neopod is very appealing. However, it does seem flimsy and not the most supportive. I fear that the legs can get knocked unfolded easily (much easier than a Harris) which would be annoying and that the swivel is real loose with no way to tighten the tension.

Anyone with experience, could you give me some feedback?

Thanks guys

No experience, but I do like the Neopod. It only weighs 2.9 ounces but the sling stud adapter is 1.2 ounces.

Another one to consider is the Spartan 300, which is 5.6 ounces.

The best bang for the buck is the B&T Quick Detach Lightweight bipod sold by Wolverine Supplies: https://www.wolverinesupplies.com/ProductDetail/BTHBT22297_B-T-QD-Lightweight-Bipod

I think they rate them at 4ounces but it is heavier. I can weigh mine tonight. I've been running one for coyotes for 3 years. Same company that makes the Atlas...

That thing looks great! Please weigh yours I would appreciate that. Thanks for the nice rundown of different bipods

I am also quite interested in the B&T Quick Detach Lightweight. My only issue is i prefer shooting prone with a 9" height, so id be running the bipod at its max the whole time. Hard to find info on the bipod as well. Cant find any videos on it

Well it weights more than I thought, but still a few ounces lighter than Harris and about 5 ounces less than an Atlas. Ive owned them all and this has a pretty good weight/price/strength ratio.

I’d love a neopod but $500 extra to shave 4 ounces is pricey

What's the warranty on that bipod?
Can you switch out the feet?
Pan and tilt with adjustable tension?
Is the Clamp metal?

Pros and Cons?

Waranty? I think a usual, if it breaks with normal use we fix or replace.
I haven't seen any other feet attachments, but the feet look to perform as they should.
Tilt yes, i believe 15*. pan a bit based on its flexibility alone. I think better than a Harris, but still not quite enough to satisfy?
No adjustable tension
Parts of the bipod are aluminum. Mostly not. I believe some of the attachment pieces are metal.

Pros, it's freaking light! Cons, I'm wondering how steady of a base it is with no tension adjuster. I'm thinking it's as steady as a Harris with tilt, when it's as loosy goosy as possible.

Ultimately I don't think it's so bad and works as a regular bipod should. Until someone who actually has one says differently...this is where my research has lead me.

What does everyone else think?

Big thanks for taking the time to weigh that for us

Yeah, it's like, buy a nice gun, or buy a bipod? Gun it is.

Hopefully DMS1 will weigh in again..... :)

There really doesn't seem to be much info on that bipod online.
