theres not much void when wrapping my shooting hand around the grip for my support hand.

I like this pistol alot but i would like to replace the grips to make sure i would have more space for my support hand.

The p226 grip is ergonomic compared to lets say the Desert eagle.. but on the DE i have the space i need for my support hand.

I looked at hogues rubber grips and i dig it. With or without finger groove has to be black no wood or exotic fancy grips.. not my cup of tea.

Any recommandations for bigger grips on the p226? price is not an issue.

thanks!

I've got big hands and fitted the wrap-around finger groove Hogue grips onto my P226, and it fills my palms just right. I've also got the Hogue panels on my P220 which are a good option if the wrap-around is a bit too big.

I've got a beefy pair of the Pachmayr grips for a P226, tried them out but didn't care much for them (I have small mitts)....they've been sitting in my parts box for about 5 years now, if you want to give them a try I'll send them to you, if you like you can pay me what you think they are worth with the shipping. Personally, I think they are a better grip than the rubber Hogue (more checkered?), but they don't fit me so moot point..... TC

Edit: Sidenote, I just noticed they are missing two of the grip screws, I'll see if I can track them down. They look like this:

Thank you Twisted Canuck thats really kind of your part, but this is not what im looking for.

Forgot to mention i got the sig sauer p226 .22lr classic da/sa which is supposed to be able to be converted with p226 9mm xchange kit.

Not really for sure if what kind of grips are compatible i have no holes for grip screws..

My gun came like this.. i was not aware it was the smallest grip available for p226.

I'm not a fan of the E2s for this reason. The only thing I liked them for was one handed, DA trigger pulls. Given I never shoot that way, off they went. When shooting double handed, I also found that their was way too much space behind the grip to get a consistent positive hold. I like the factory G10 or Aluminum grips (made by Hogue), or for a splurge, nothing quite beats Nill grips imo.

From smallest to fattest; E2, Hogue G10, SIG standard grip, Hogue rubber and Hogue rubber finger grooves.

I never thought of Nill grips but they are huge too and very nice looking.

I find the E2s fit me pretty good, but as mentioned I have small mitts, then the Hogue Aluminun and the G10s work great for me too....the Elite Rosewood grips are HUGE and slippery. Maybe they should call them 'Kardashian' grips?

(running away.....)
