Looking for Non-SKS 7.62x39 Alternative to Type 81

I'm looking for an alternative to the Type 81 that isn't an SKS simply because I'm currently having a terrible time with Tactical Imports and am leaning towards a refund because of the whole experience.

First they tell me the Fixed Stock OR I ordered is not available because the manufacturer sent them the wrong amount. Then when that got resolved and I was told my order's been packed and is just waiting on the shipping queue, they then tell me that the sling is also out of stock despite...y'know...my order already being packed and ready to go.

While I try to get them to fix the problem that's happening, I'm leaning towards just getting a complete refund and taking my money elsewhere depending on what they do to fix this problem.

The Type 81 is good and the price is right but what other reliable options would you all recommend?

From what I've heard the M10X has a host of problems while the the verdict on the Kodiak 181-C's reliability is still in progress. The SKS is the only other reliable option from what I've read but I'm a heathen and am not really too into it lol

Hell, if there are still stores out there that sell the Type 81 other than TI, I'd consider that too--this entire ordeal's just frustrating.
 
Doesn't sound like a big enough problem to cancel the order. Relax. TI always makes it square, I can't say this about other retailers. I would call this a very minor inconvenience.

i couldnt agree with you more. we been thru far worst than his. from day one 5 years ago. it was a love-hate relationship with TI but they always came thru at the end.
 
I dunno...I ordered a Fixed Stock OR Type 81 SE with a sling and an extra mag
And right now my order turned into a Fixed Stock Non-OR Type 81 SE and potentially an Type 81 SR sling. With how this is going, I don't even know if I'm even getting that extra mag or if it'll get replaced with something because it's suddenly out of stock lol

Essentially everything I ordered hours after the restock has been announced, I won't be getting for one reason or another. Just some mishmash of "whatever's left"

The Importers know if c21 passes its over for them. So theyre selling the scraps. I wouldnt even count on the sr stock issue being resolved id say theyre more likely to close the buisiness before

That would be my guess as well . Importers and dealers are in a tough spot right now with the Trudeau govt. attempting to ban every semi auto that they can think of ; so are they really going to risk bringing in more models or inventory . The Night is Dark , and Full of Terrors for the firearms industry right now in Canada , and the future looks bleak for many dealers/importers as long as Trudeau's Liberals remain in power .
