Looking for NOSLER 165 Grain Fail Safe CT bullets

Just curious, what do you want these for?
If you like them, shoot them, but I will not anymore.
I found that they elevated my pressures significantly.
I had to lower my powder charges to the point of loosing about 150fps.
They did shoot accurately.
I shot several biggame animals with them. All pass throughs. Even a very large record book sized bull at 330 yards. Yep, even lengthwise the bullet penetrated from stem to stern! (7mm ultra mag). 140 grain failsafes.
They acted more like full metal jackets. Not allot of radial damage.
My friends and I started calling them "feelsafes".
This kind of performance may have been why the failsafe line was dropped.
The hollowpoint petals either sheard off or didnt expand at all.
Thats my experience anyhow.

I completely agree. However, I have found that flat base bullets (with a longer bearing surface) tend to do better in rifles with long throats and/or worn barrels than boattails of a comparable weight. My Sako .300 has an unbelievably long throat, and I have a Mauser 98 in .30-06 with a long throat and a bit of a worn barrel.
The open base of the Failsafe (like the back end of a Partition) may also be a benefit in these barrels because it allows the back end of the bullet to open up a bit -- like a black powder Minie Bullet -- to fit the rifling. This is allegedly one of the reasons why Partitions tend to have a reputation for decent accuracy in a wide variety of rifles.
Anyway, I saw these Failsafes at a gun show and bought them on a whim, because they're discontinued and I've never shot with them before. I'm not married to the idea of using these bullets -- it was just a lark, a chance gun show purchase.
After many loads, they are the ones that shoot well but unfortunately, they are discontinued. Just a shot in the dark to see if someone has a few boxes they don't use anymore.
