I have decided to not hunt crown land anymore and would like to try to find someone willing to allow myself and myself alone the access to private land for white tail archery hunting in the Prince Albert area north of the city.

I am not planning for this season but I would like to have something in the works for 2014.

I spend more time watching than actually trying to harvest but would like the confines of private area that aren't so easily accessed.

If you are comfortable with this and willing to discuss it drop me a pvt message or know of someone who this may be of interest.

I have stands and blinds or will ground hunt and I usually put out a feeder. So whatever the land owner is comfortable with is what I will set up.

Kelly.

Research and look around on foot, farmers are friendly people too. Knock on doors, thats how i do it. I can hunt right across the st from my house.

Landowner map, phone book, cell phone, a tank of gas, and a thick skin. Oh, and a time machine as this is a process that you embark upon during the summer, not on the cusp of the season. Lot of folks will allow access, just respect their wishes about access, maybe a heads up the night previous.

I think folks should stop looking for internet short-cuts... get off their friggin' couches and go scouting and knocking on doors like the rest of us... a couple afternoons of effort and you will have a place to hunt... hunting from start to finish has never been an EASY pursuit... if you aren't willing to do the work, then take up another hobby... can I suggest golf?

You think I haven't done that yet??

This is another "option" I have decided to do , I have hunted for many years and did the been there done that scenario, so you sir can kiss my ass , and pull both cheeks apart as you do so.

Read the original post just a tad better.

Yeah, I've had a bunch like you want to come hunting... until it's time for the work... then they kinda fade away... good luck with your internet search... I hope that you get dozen's of offers and spend weeks searching properties that hold nothing... cause you put the cart before the horse here... the SCOUTING comes FIRST... then you seek permission once you know that the area has potential to produce... land is not the problem... land that holds game in huntable numbers or circumstances, that you can ALSO gain access to is the problem... stop whining and do the work.

As you don't know what I have or haven't done how can you be so sure??

I can only assume that you sir are an internet troll trying to get a rise out of someone.

Should I take you to the people I have spoken to?

Do you want to go and see where I tromp through the bush?

Do you want to see were I have put up cameras?

Do you want to speak to the land owners I have helped over the years with various jobs and tasks?

I think we should meet.

Anyways, back on track.

All that hard work and yet here we are on the internet seeking handouts... Apparently mama was wrong... "Hard work and persistence does NOT pay-off."

P.S - I'm moving on... I hope you have a successful hunting season.

Thats how I do it, and sometimes it pays off.

If you would like to contribute to the thread please do so.

If not please know the entirety of a situation before you start to call someone lazy and looking for hand outs.

Maybe if you come off your high horse and maybe ask the OP what he has done or who he knows or what avenues he has gone then you could forget the criticisms.

Whatever... Good luck with your modern scouting system... I'm heading out to trail the geese to their roost for a night hunt... I'd continue this tomorrow, but I am packing the canoes, motors, tents, and gear for our portage in archery moose hunt... I'll check-in on you the next week... Oh, wait... I'll be making a circuit of our properties and chatting with landowners in preperation for the deer hunt... Maybe after that... Oh no, scratch that, I forgot that I have to appear before the board of the game preserve, with our predator control plan for 2013-14... Gotta excercise the new coyote rifle... Well, we'll catch up sometime in 2014... Again... Good "luck" this hunting season.
