Looking for quality rimfire optic for a Savage MK II Mako Shark

I don't have a lot of rimfire rifle experience but had the chance to buy a new ( zero'd only ) Savage Mako with the rare factory stainless bull barrel so I jumped on it. it did not come with the optic. I hear these are pretty accuarate plinkers out of the box so I don't mind sinking a few bucks into a good scope. Has anyone here used a Sightron on a Savage MK II? Budget is $600-800.
Also tried calling around today to the Wholesale and Cabellas in Winnipeg trying to find the 10 round stainless mags as well as scope mount and both said they were out of stock. Anyone know of any place that has this stuff in stock? I actually thought this stuff would be easy to find but everything seems to be bonkers these days in the firearms world it seems.
 
I have a savage btvs. I had a tasco 10-40x scope and just upgraded to a sightron S3 10-50x scope. Went though 4scopes.com
Saved $200 on the scope and $50 on burris zee rings. That's after the exchange rate.
No extra fees just gst and shipping. Took two days to ship!

Simply awesome!

Thats what I run... and Love it... EGW 20 MOA base EGW rings Sightron S2 4-16-42

I have yet to shot my 10/22 since I bought this gun...

Wow that does look good and I don't think I've ever read a bad review on a Sightron scope. Which rings did you use? They look nice and snuggly. EDIT: looks like I need to find some eye glass optics as well so I can read your post better.....

With the Mako stock make sure you get high rings. With medium or low you won't be able to get a good view through the scope due to the high arch on the stock preventing you from getting a lower check weld. At least that's the problem I had had with mine...
 
Not the best pic but I went with a VxII 6-18x40 with turrets and love it on this rifle. If I remember I had to use High rings as well, maybe mediums but I think they're High's.
