Just like the title says, does anybody have any real experience with these binos, in particular I'm wondering about optics quality. What would they compare to. I have $1000 in my budget and can't decide between these or just regular binos with superior optic quality. They will be used for spot and stalk bowhunting and gun hunting as well as long range shooting.

I like mine a lot. Got rid of my rangefinder and other binos as this bino does it all. Optics quality is very good................I have nothing bad to say about this optic. I was using Nikon Monarch ATB 10X42 before the Bushnell Fusion and I find the Bushnell is not inferior at that level. Some people have complained that the red readout for the rangefinder washes out in sunshine. I have no problem with this when the intensity of the readout is raised. I can't see how you would be disappointed. Leica will cost you another $1500 on top of these binos. I've had mine for about 4 years now..................still on the original battery.

Ranged a moose at 305 yards. At that distance it is difficult to hold on target. At long distances you are better off ranging to the side of the animal, on a harder target...... rocks, trees, etc. I have ranged further than 1600 yards when targeting rocks! I Don't know how much difference there is in weight but I know it is lighter than carrying binos plus a separate range finder. Weight is not an issue, in fact it is a selling feature.
