Hey folks:

Does anyone have a line on a 10/22 MAGNUM for sale somewhere? I would appreciate the tip. Thanks!

I don't really know who would have one. They are very hard to find. I know a forum member that goes by the name of Justin had one for sale. It was a 10/22 magnum receiver but with a .17 HMR barrel.

I have a 10/22 magnum and out of my 3 rifles I own, it would the last one i get rid of.

It's in there catalogue. Cat. # 460164

Man...I think that site has the worst catalogue and search system ever. I've tried several searches, including "Ruger", "Ruger 10/22", "Ruger 10/22 Magnum", and the catalogue number that you supplied, and I still can't find it.

Would you be able to maybe just cut and paste the description and price from their website for me? Thanks.

"...in there(sic) catalogue..." The catalogues are wrong. Ruger quit making them in August of 2006. Rumours of cracking bolts and not enough sales.
It's not unusual for a retailer to have something they can't get in THEIR catalogue. Especially Ruger products. Ruger is operated primarily by their marketing people. They announce new products then drop them regularly. LeBarons, for one, listed the Mini USGI for two years after Ruger announced they weren't going to build them six months after announcing it.

Ruger 10/22 Magnum has been discontinued. The cost of them went high up right away and not many of them are available for sale.

Yeah, I know...that's why I posted this up here hoping someone out there knows of one for sale. ;) I may be looking for a bolt action brand new now anyway...most likely a Savage 93 in either .22 WMR or .17 HMR. I have two Savage bolt rifles now and I've got the hots for them. :D

The Savage 93 in .17 HMR is amazing value. Mine was $420 on sale at Ukranian Tire (I choose to support the decision of the local franchise owner to keep selling firearms when the rest of them stopped)

I haven't spent a lot of time with it at the range (new AR chewed up some of my range time), but it's a sweet little tack driver so far.

I just wondering here, is there is any kits available to convert Ruger 10/22 from .22LR to .22 WMR, and if this exist where and for how much you can get it? This might be your solution… and I prolly would upgrade it too…for a better “smack” :)

I don't know if that will work at all considering the size difference between the .22LR and .22 WMR. The chamber, bolt and receiver are all different, and I don't see how you can make it cross over. It's not like a .17 HMR conversion where the length and diameter of the case are basically the same (the .17 HMR being a necked down version of the .22 LR, I think).

Anyway, I love my 10/22 RR way too much to convert it into anything. This thing shoots exceptionally well in factory format, and it has been discontinued by Ruger...so she's going to stay the way she is. :)
