looking for russian sks charger

As the title said i need a magazine for my russian sks because the metal rod inside it has broken ... anyone know where i can get one? thx and have a nice day! (also wondering if i can put a ak style mag pinned to 5 rnd?) thx and have a nice day!

In the rusky? Nope, sks-d only.

Sks charger? You mean the gas rod thingy?
Charger = stripper clip usually.

Check sksman.com, they might have the part your looking for.
 
Oh magazine ok.
fabsports.ca has a detachable duckbill 5rder
marstar.ca has a detachable duckbill 10rder(pinned to 5)
For the standard 10rounder pinned to 5, I would assume the EE would be the best place to find one.

What exactly broke on the magazine, got a picture?
 
its the metal stick wich is attached to the spring... its broke in the midle so now unusable... thx a lot i will take a look at fabsport!

what did you mean that its now unusable? cant put ammo in or it takes more than 5 rds?

if this is a recent purchase then you contact the dealer and get them to fix it .
 
Is it the lifter arm that attaches to the floorplate that broke? Is yours one of the rifles that had the pin to block the mag to 5 rnds welded to this arm?

I looked at the way some of the refurbs had been plugged to 5 by welding a pin to the lifter arm and wondered if the heat would weaken them so I'm curious what has happened to yours.
 
Can you post a picture?
If the lifter rod or whatever it is called
broke, should be easy to weld and a small
piece of key steel added at lower sid to
help support it, as there is lots of room because
of the stupid 5 shot rule.
