Hi folks,

I'm looking for a general timeline of Sako rifles model history if anyone could help. Approximate dates for such stuff as when L57, L579, L61, L691 and all that were produced is what I would like to know more about. This stuff seems really hard to dig up--unless you know where to look, I suspect.

Very interesting list of Sako production numbers by caliber and model designation. I wonder if the Sako Collectors Club is still in existence? It's difficult to find a comprehensive history of production models, I did hear of a couple of articles in American Rifleman from about 1986 or '88 supposedly gave a good synopsis of Sako production but I've not yet found a copy or seen reprints. A publication in Finnish has a few pages as well but my Finnish is terrible so I never bought that book.

Probably posted somewhere but I haven't found it yet.
