I'm looking for something that may not have much of a use except for being different and having a good time, something that could present another chalenge or introduce me to a new dicsipline in this sport.

I have everything I need in hunting rifles, shotguns, long range varmint rifle, semi auto plinker.

I was thinking maybe a target 22LR with adjustable stock and good sights, I also really like the looks of the Ruger 77/22 Laminated stainless 22 mag.

What do you guys own and what do you suggest??

Also if you have something that may interest me for sale don't be shy to PM me.

"...very limited choice of ammo in 22 mag..." And expensive to buy.
An iron sighted single shot .22, or anything else for that matter, will add a challenge. Or go the other way and buy a single shot .45-70 with iron sights. A muzzle loader may be an idea too.

If you really want to have some fun, sharpen up your shooting, and have something unusual, build yourself a single-shot, bolt action, 30-30.

Any old used 30 cal barrel, cut off and rethread to fit whatever action you have and chamber it to 30-30. Even a Lee Enfield will work, but a Mauser of any persuasion is better.

Put it in a stock, bed it and go! Cast bullets and jacketed, you will be amazed at how accurate a 30-30 can be. :)

But a .22 match rifle. You may be able to find an Anshutz ready to go for under $1000. It will take about 10 seconds to learn to shoot but years to master. Prone shooting too easy? :p Try some 3 position with the same match rifle.

Thanks guys, I already have a 375 H&H and a 458 WM so I decided to go with a match 22, It's a Marlin 2000L, yeah I know it's not an Anshutz but the test target looks good and it should do me for a while, when I outgrow it there's always the exchange Forum

The 375 in the gun cabinet is an excellent tool but I think the 22 will be more fun, kinda like shooting clays, not a whole lot of meat for the freezer but lots of fun and good practice!!
