My Ruger 10-22 build is almost finished and it's time to start looking at optics. It's a very pretty 1969 model in walnut stock. I have a gm .920 barrel in ss on it. The receiver and trigger group is polished aluminum and I would like the scope to have a similar look.
I mostly use it for gophers under 125 yards but sometimes I like to stretch it out there a little more so mil-dots would be nice. I don't need very high magnification, I think 3-9 or 4-12 would be fine. Adj. obj. is fine but not really necessary for me. I would prefer a more compact scope as it is a carbine. My price range is right around $200 but of course the less the better.
So far I'm considering the Elite 3200 3-9x40 but haven't found that model with mil-dot yet.
Any input on what is out there would be appreciated.
