Looking for suggestions on a 1-6 or 1-8 that isn't a vortex

I'd prefer mil adjustments and non bdc or cbq reticule, but its not super important.

Going to be put on a non restricted 556 for coyote


was looking at this https://www.burrisoptics.com/scopes/rt-6-riflescopes-series/rt-6-riflescope-1-6x24mm asking to see if anyone knows of anything better

Yes, it's a solid scope, I had the ms3 reticle, i just wanted more magnification.

I found it just as good as my s-tac 1-7

I have noticed that myself but have never held or looked through one. Lots of fan boys for these in the US. Who has them in Ontario?

I'm not completely sure, but I think the only Canadian seller might be CTCS in BC.

Primary Arms 1-6 an 1-8 get good reviews

Best scope for the dollar in my opinion. Pretty decent glass...as good as my Leupold VXIII. The reticule is the best I have ever used i.e. easy to learn and it works well allowing fast shots at multiple distances. Has covered scope caps and a hiding spot under the windage cap for an extra battery.

If you look at the EE, you can find a nice Bushnell Elite tactical 1-6. Great japanese construction.

Sightron S-Tac 1-8 is worth a look. A little north of $1000 and it is a tad heavy (but robust).

I like my Millett DMS-2 1-6x. Got it for a lot cheaper than the PA 1-6. So far so good.

Primary Arms are made in the same factory as Vortex, but use a better glue to seal their scopes, and are quite a bit tougher optics. They also cost less. Their 1-6 with an ACSS reticle has achieved a cult following in the States, and are considered the best buy for your money there.
