We had a Swiss Luger donated to our club but it is missing the spring that keeps the grip safety in the "safe" position when ungripped. I would like to replace this, and I think I can do this but would like to try to find something to reference as to proper disassembly steps. Any detail strip instructions/video showing how do do this would be appreciated!

Got a Data phone? I've a good picture sequence that I can send your way for the German Luger, as far as the grip safety, no idea...it shouldn't be that daunting though

Which Swiss Luger do you have ?

The early 1900 Lugers had a flat 2 piece main spring.

The later ones had a coil spring. I think the 1904 German Navel Luger was the switch over model.

Hi all thanks for the replies. I have the Swiss army pistol handbook, but it does not cover detailed disassembly as that would be done by an armourer. The pistol is a 06/29 with the coiled spring (Sicherungshebelfeder). I am sure I could muddle through, but I was hoping some intrepid individual had made a video on how to detail strip these pistols.

On watching the video it is so simple but when you're looking at it (after cleaning 10 P210s) it's just something you don't want to get into without knowing what you're doing beforehand.
