As the title says, i have a cut down lee-enfield trainer in 22 caliber. Its in good shape but was cut down and turned into a target rifle at some point. Please let me know your thoughts

i was thinking 350 to 400 range but might be off on that

"...turned into a target rifle..." Assuming it's a No. 7, it was always a target rifle. Bubba'd it's not worth $350 plus though. Depends on how far it was butchered.

I do remember giving my brother a chopped SMLE in .22" at one time.

It was a 1918 Enfield rifle, reworked by Parker-Hale into a .22" single-shot and the job was done RIGHT. I paid the same price for it as an in-grease 98k was selling for and, at that time, the SIGHTS were worth more than that. My brother used that rifle to get himself banned from every turkey-shoot in the district! (That was AFTER he got my 1907 Stevens 14-1/2 banned from competition: he was VERY good!) He passed away last year and the rifle now is owned by his Son, my nephew..... who has eyes just as good s his Dad's. So if you see a 4-foot guy with a Viking beard and a Parker-Hale Lee-Enfield with Match sights entering your match, hang onto your wallet!

They are most definitely NOT all junk.

Photos would be a REAL help here, friend.

Everything else being equal, a sported .22 might be worth more than a sported .303, as a candidate for restoration.
But yours has been pretty seriously modified - drilled and tapped, rear sight removed. Can't tell if the barrel has been shortened.
I would suggest that its value is nominal, that $350 -$400 would be a real stretch.
