Howdy,
Really excited as I await the return of my 870 from the shop, where they try to figure out why it has issues ejecting fired hulls from my 26" tube, but runs flawlessly with the 20" one.
Would like to get into the skeet and trap games, hopefully graduating to duck hunting "later", once I feel confident that I can hit flying targets.
Have about 15 years of shooting experience, starting in the military, apprenticing with both handguns and rifles, currently collect and shoot Lee Enfields, and work in law enforcement where I hope to soon be a basic firearms instructor.... But ain't more than once tried to shoot clays!
Is there anyone in the Vancouver area who would be willing to take a reasonably mature individual with next to no shotgunning experience "under their wing", so to speak, and help me out with the basics?
I would hate to inflict my tyro self on a regular meeting of skeet or trap folks, until I have a basic comprehension of what to do, and would be willing to supply food and beverage to the kind-hearted individual(s) who could help me out?
I am a member at PoCo, with RUC, if that helps at all!
With work, I only have "some" weekends free, as I am stuck on a 4 on / 4 off schedule.
Thanks in advance for reading, and for any of you who are motivated enough to help me out!
Cheers,
Neal
