some 30 cal bullets that are less than 100 grains for varmint shooting.

just got a 300 winmag, and il be reloading at some point when i have a place to call my own, and want to find some light varmint type rounds for some gofer hunting.

also. any recomendations for bullets for hunting dear. something thats not going to blow out to much meat if i get a shoulder shot.

any advice would be great. i havent realoded before. so please to be keeping the snide and "your an idiot" sounding posts to a minimum.

Typically the lightest jacketed bullet for a 30 cal is 110gr.
They are might stubby at that, therefore usually nothing lighter is made.
There is a 100gr. short jacket bullet but 300win Mag velocities are not suitable for that bullet.
110gr, soft points are a pretty decent varmint bullet in the Win Mag. if you can get them to shoot, which seems to be the issue with bullets less than 150grs in this calibre.

the ammo is cheap enough to buy at times. (box of 20 winchester super x for 20 bucks, soft point 150 grain) cant beat that for plinking cheap varmint ammo.

and thanks for the advice.
