Looking to fill the gap.

I look at everything from the NATO military breakdown with a few additions.

.22 lr, .223, 7.62 x 39, .308, .300 win mag, .338 lapua, .50 bmg, 12 gauge.

So there's the spectrum covered. Pick where you feel you have a gap. Stay there, or choose one slightly higher or lower.

The 7x64 looks intresting.
What's the market like for new rifles?

Many to choose from.
Or am I going to have to have a smith do some work

All the major European makers list 7x64 as a "standard". They may or may not export rifles in that caliber to Canada though. Look up CZ, Sako, Heym, Sauer, Mauser, Merkel, Voere, Verney-Carron, Tikka, etc. etc.

Thanks for all the input.
I took the girlfriend trap shooting yesterday.
She is hooked. It look like a new rifle will have to wait.
Apearntly I am now over-under shopping. Lol
