I'd like to buy a non-restricted pistol-caliber carbine. I haven't yet decided which caliber.

I know there are caliber conversion kits available for the Just Right carbine, but how about the Thureon Defense carbine?

Is the Thureon Defense carbine even available in Canada? If so, who might have some for sale?

Ellwood Epps has some .40 cal. JRC in stock, but are there any dealers that currently have the 9mm or .45acp in stock?

Feel free to also suggest any other worthwhile non-restricted carbines I haven't mentioned. Not really interested in the Sub 2000.

Thanks.

I just bought a Just Right in 9mm off the EE, should have it by Wednesday. I still have an AR15 but being able to shoot the JR at my indoor range and out in the bush is appealing. The Theuron gun is butt ugly, I like the look of the JR. Also the Kaltec did not appeal to me. I think Al Simons gun shop has some of the 9mm in stock. I would have liked to get the 45 but I reload 9mm already and it's relatively cheap to shoot. Just picked up a Vortex Strikefire for it, can't wait to get the gun!

I got my 9mm JR at Williams' Arms. The last time I was there they had both calibers in stock. Good guys to deal with. They are located in Port Perry, Ontario.

I think Marlin used to make a gun called the Camp Carbine, 9MM and.45. Never seen one, but I thought they might be of some use.

Grizz

There's also the ruger pc-9.some guys have re-barreled them to be non restricted.
The cz skorpion evo has my eye. It's a work of art

Hey folks I have a Marlin Camp carbide in 9mm but its restricted! :( It has a wood stock looks like a 10/22 but with a pistol mag infront of the trigger guard. Sweet little piece hardly any kick fun and fast.

I'm hoping to get a non restricted pistol caliber carbine within the year.
I was really interested in the JR Carbine early on, but all the initial bad reviews turned me off.
Going to take a look at the carbines Tactical Imports is bringing in in early 2012:cheers:

I got it about a week ago so I imagine it is new. . I would say the most I have fired consecutively is 3 or 4 rounds. . . it even shears the shell casing off and leaves a portion in the barrel. . .

Ive never even heard this happening before.

Pretty unsafe in my opinion. . .
