The 15 inch with mag has the cool vent holes but a bit long. The 12 inch looks ok and I like how short the 8.5 inch is. Anybody that has used these models please advise me on which one to get. And is the 8.5 non restricted? Also do the all can be switched to the pistol grip butt stock?

I have the Norinco Grizzly 12.5 and am very pleased with it. Well built little gun.

I have the following 8.5 inch, 14 inch and a 20 inch 12ga shotgun I used to own a 18.5 as well.

Now it depends allot on what you want it for shooting slugs out of the 8.5 inch sucks like a punch to the face every round since your head is so close it's hard to aim and if you want to shoot shot good luck since the middle of the target at 23 yards is the safest place... It's that wide of a patern basicly. 14 inch is a good compermise it depends on what you want the shotgun for if you want to hunt birds go with a longer barrel and something that can take chokes clay pidgeons the same thing. If you want a gun to screw around with go the short one...

Fabarm Martel 14 inch is a really nice shotgun and it can take chokes best of both worlds...

My heart still foolishly yearns for a 8.5" even though I have a 12". In reality the 12" is short enough. It's even accurate enough to bust clays much to my delight. I think that you would perhaps find that the 2 round limit on the 8.5" annoying.

Dlask 8.5. Actually groups slugs and the spread isn't too bad for shot. Dlask will install chokes and ghost ring sights.

One thing is that if you go with 12" or bigger you can always use different barrels if you like. With the 8.5, that is what you are stuck with.

I had TacOrd put chokes in a Grizzly 8.5". Greatly improves the shot pattern. Pistol grip stocks are pretty much 100% useless except for cool factor. Everybody who gets a short 12 gauge goes thru it. Shoot a pistol-gripped shottie for a bit and my bet is that it will have a full stock back on it soon after.

By pistol grip are you referring to a pistol grip with stock or a pistol grip only? A pgo would make the 8.5, 12 and maybe the 14 restricted, there fine on an 18.

Have had many short barrel sg's but the cream of the crop by far is the Bennelli tactical with the 14" barrel. Short yet just long enough for it to be versatile and useful. It's features are unmatched by the above sg's IMHO

What is the ballpark cost to have chokes put on a shotty? I'd like to be able to use chokes on my Dlask 8.5.
