Yeah . . . I live in the Calgary area . . . and drive 8 hours to Peace River to shoot 3-Gun.
It's weird, and silly. No good 3 gun setups close by. No serious clubs running events that I know of.
But if you're willing to haul out to Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Edmonton, or all the way up to Peace River: there's some great events to shoot at.

So at 997km . . . damn Fort St John is still in! But that's a looooong drive to shoot!
ok cool thanks, I just started shooting( im no stranger to firearms, just more of a weekend plinker at shooting ranges) so i would like to learn the tip of the trade, can i just head out to a match and see how its done or do i need sign up and be a member somewhere?

you need to find a travel buddy to split the driving
we have great camping spots, flushable toilets and running water.... and plugins if you want to run an extension cord to your tent.

If you are willing to drive up to Edmonton check out the Wild Rose Action Shooters at wrasalberta.com. We try to put on a 3 gun once a month. We usually start in April and shoot until the first weekend in November. The first weekend in November we put on a charity match with proceeds going to Valour Place here in Edmonton, a local charity that provides accommodations free of charge to soldiers,veterans,families of the fallen and RCMP members while in Edmonton receiving medical treatment.
