so me and a buddy are looking to go for a coyote hunt somewhere that coyotes are more plentiful. we are from Newfoundland where spotting a coyote is rare and getting a shot at one is almost impossible unless you devote a large amount of time to it which isn't easy when you're working 5 days a week. so the plan is to take a few days to fly somewhere they are more plentiful for a little vacation. somewhere to hopefully get a few per day if possible.

Alberta comes to mind but i wondered if there was anywhere closer that would also be good? would a guide be needed for this? does anyone have any suggestions?

Southwest Sasktchewan. Fly in to Regina. Lots of public land in community pastures, also farmers and ranchers will almost always give permission on private land. Do a bit of homework and get a landowner map or three, available at Rural municipality offices. If you want to save the hides, ( recommended) best season is December- January, it can be very cold, so be prepared for that.

Go to the southwest USA. Texas is an option where you can add feral hogs to the mix.

Southwest Sasktchewan. Fly in to Regina.

Not possible for non-residents. (Thanks to non-resident poaching.)

Would love to do that but it seems like it would be out of the price range for me. will probably look into it just to see

Make a vacation of it. If you make some friends on Predator Masters forums, you can probably get an invite/host. Perhaps a swap for something similar up here on the island. :)

You have fratri in Onterible I think, he may have some knowledge.
Adrian J Hare May weigh in on whom to contact and failing that go to Manitoba then Saskatchewan and if you need to further West there is Alberia, but they treat the tote as a fur bearing animal and requires a guide.
No idea on the three previous provinces though.

How about Labrador? Jump on the ferry north, wolves must be available, maybe few yotes though....and youre already a resident? I assume Nfld and Labrador hunting are managed by same ministry?
