Looking to make my 10/22 accurate to 100 yards...

High velocity ammo will enter the transonic range
around 60-70 yds and there after become unreliable.

Huh? Its only an issue if the bullet drops below the speed of sound before it hits the target. Its the transition that destabilizes the bullet. If the bullet is transonic when it hits the target, there shouldn't be an issue.

They are discussing 100 yard accuracy, Skeet. If the bullet goes from supersonic to subsonic at 70, it will be unstable for the last 30 yards.
P.S nice barrel bedding on that blue stock, Jordan. I find if you bed the front of the recessed area where the takedown screw is you can prevent the action from creeping forward over time due to the pounding of the bolt.

Loads of info in improvements to the 10/22.

Depending on what you consider accurate @ 100yds I would be surprised if you cant get there with the stock barrel.

At the risk of blowing my own horn, earlier today I shot the group highlighted in pink with a Ruger 10/22 Carbine, stock barrel and trigger, from a seated position at 118 meters (approx 130 yards) as measured with a laser range finder. I was using a 32mm Bushnell scope dialed up to 6X. Ammo was Winchester 37-grain X22LRH hollowpoints. This was the second target I shot at; the crosswind was such that I was aiming slightly to the right of the juncture between neck and shoulder.

The groups round the head were fired from offhand. The hits marked with X's were fired rapid-fire from the hip at 5 meters :).
