So im looking to pickup a VZ58S.

I haven't been able to find any anywhere.

I want it in the short barreled restricted, and not the longer barreled non (i.e. cz 858)

Anyone know any dealers selling any in the southern ontario region? Or online?

I know marstar carried some before. I remember seeing them on the site a while back, but cant find any on the site these days. Although who knows, the site is horrible to navigate. They need to hire a new webmaster for sure.

Any help appreciated.

There doesn't seem to be any VZ58S models available in any retail stores in Canada atm. Keep your eyes peeled on the EE. There's been at least 3 of them up for sale in the last 2 weeks.

EE prices seem to have been running in the $500 range..
Once again, the law of supply (none!) and demand (high) will dictate prices.
My advise is to grab one when they pop up...you never know if there will be any more in the dealer pipeline...ala Norc M14S!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Milarm only included the actual rifle and one mag in this price (a very good price too...:dancingbanana: ), no other accesories?
That's right. All beef and no condiments :)

If you don't mind the longer barrel, there seems to be quite a few 858s available still. The longer barrel doesn't look funny anymore if you put a foregrip on the front handguard.

I "know" the "pure'ists" are gonna squirm at the suggestion... But I would rather have the 858 and NON-restricted status over the "original configuration" of the shorter 58 barrel...

Cheers

I only shoot at an indoor range, so id prefer the shorter restricted version, as the non-restricted version really doesnt offer me any benefits.

hello!

longer barrel = bigger accuracy...i think...but still u dont need any poop from the CFC to get permits for transport and stuff like that.

the longer barrel doesnt realy seem long

So i guess you heve not fired any of these rifles?....for some reason the shorty seems more accurate.

Can you post some pics of such a modification? Would the foregrip be like that from the Romanian AKs or an AR type?

I always thought the barrel is a bit long, but the fact that it is a non-restricted makes up for that.:)

Tell us, oh voice of experience: by "bigger accuracy, do you mean "more accurate" or "larger groups"?
