This is a good point. All the people who legally owned the scary guns when the feds implemented the OIC, still own the scary guns. Keeping them locked in their safes hasn't magically erased gun crime or illegal imports - shocker. Smoke & mirrors...

I once had a friend with an artillery Luger. Owned originally by his grandfather in WW1. Buried in the backyard after the war, dug up in the ‘30’s, reburied in the late 40’s, dug up again in the ‘80’s or 90’s (my memory fades) and imported into Canada.
