> Keith,
> Thank you for your inquiry. Anything longer than 44" has to be a 2-

If you have access to a smooth or rubber jawed vise, taking the handle assembly off is pretty simple. We can then send you the extension that will thread together with your rod. The extension/handle piece on its own would be $15 plus shipping. As you said, shipping would be much less as that part is small and light.

If your in southwestern Ontario I can make you one for free, just stop by its a 5 minute job. And if you give me 10 bucks I will have it vinyl coated. If I have to ship it, dont bother.

S, I have a lathe, making a BR quality 35Rc SS cleaning rod that is 48" long and highly polished doesn't sound easy to me. I'm more than willing to pay for it.

m & m, If it aint 48" it aint long enough.

K, I phoned a gentleman in the US that makes BR quality rods. He said he can make a 48" rod by adding a piece, just as Dewey said. Did you get the extension? I'll order a few from Dewey, depending on how things go I might be able to get away with 44" for one but I'll get an extension now instead of later.

J, long ways from Ont but thanks.

Cheers,
Rob

svt-40, What I should have replyed was, I'm looking for something a little better in quality than I can efficiently produce. Hope I didn't sound sarcastic to you.

scott, its a typo, Dewey doesn't make a 48" rod that small in diameter, sure wish they did. If you notice the manufactor # its 22c-44. 22c is 22 caliber and 44 is the length. I appreciate the help.

O, will do. I sent them an email question. I plan on getting two of the 48HDS rods, a 44HSS rod and an extension K describes. The 48" rods are .250" in diameter so I can't use it for 6mm. I'll order on Monday, if I don't find a 48" SS rod for 6mm before then.

I have a 30 cal rifle with a cheekpiece that I really like but its a PITA to remove. From the barrel to the cheekpiece its 48" and its bore height.

Cheers,
Rob
