Been rebuilding a Cooey Ace and got a replacement bolt for it a while back. Found that the extractor sits very loosely within the bolt, and plenty of movement within the channel. I have to push down on the extractor to get it to pick up the rim and pull it out. Is there any particular way I can take out the slop on this thing? Any input would be great, thanks!

I am assuming that this is the same extractor as a 39 or 75 Cooey. Check the hole in the bolt handle for excessive wear, this can cause some of the problem. I would think that the extractor itself is likely bent out of proper shape. It is possible to bend them back to the correct shape and re temper them,I have had success doing this when a new one is not to be found. NOTE... it is also possible to snap them while trying to bend one back to original !!! You are on your own here. Hope this helps some ....catnip.
