I recently bought a new M305 shorty. I cleaned it up, lubed it as per the stickies and took it out in the backyard for a 5 round function test. It seems to cycle fine using factory Rem 150gr Cor-lokt. I then stripped it back down and went through it a bit more and found a few issues. The one that concerns me the most right now though is that the op-rod guide is loose. There is a smallroll pin that looks like it should be securing the guide to the barrel, but I can rotate it a few degrees to either side of center. Has anyone else seen this and is there an easy fix for it?

Thanks, Jim

a common problem with these norcs.remove old roll pin and install a larger 1 with locktite.
some even go so far as peening around the barrel to get a more solid fit before they install the guide back.

I tightened mine using a smaller roll pin hammered inside a larger one in combination with a peened barrel, VERY tight!
Lucked out on my 2nd M14, op rod guide was very tight out of the box.

* Replaces the shattered older generation of pins from Kommunizt Zhina
* 1/8" diam x 3/4" long
* You may need to take a center punch and peen/dimple/raise the metal
* then we Loctite (Red) the guide and pin in place
* Again, this part is also FREE fer ya!
