I've got an Enfield No.4 Mk.1 and want to change the front sight. I've taken the old front post off, and the one I'm putting in its place is a bit bigger. I need to loosen that little... slide thing that it slips in to? I hope you know what I mean! I'm sure most enfield owners will understand. Theres that little screw it looks like on the front of the sight, but I'm not sure how to turn it (if you even turn it). I've tried very narrow plyers. Is there a special tool for that? If so, is there anything at home I can "constructively destroy" into making a tool for it?

Please send me a pm if you have a remedy for this. I'd prefer a pm than have to find my way back here. But, whatevers easier for you :p

There is a special tool for tightenin/loosening the front sight lock screw. Take an old screw driver around the same diameter of the screw and cut it off flat. Cut a notch in it with a dremel tool to fit the flat portion of the sight lock screw....voila.....
