Lost Restricted Certificate

Note: I'm not totally sure if this is the right are for a post of this nature; so please be gentle with me :p

So, last year I completed my Restricted Firearms course no problem, got the paper work signed off and my certificate. Then I went I deployed to Afghanistan and lets just say my girlfriend decided to clean my room :p So, I can't find any of my paperwork to send in to the Government.

Please advise me on the next course of action (I hope I don't have to challenge that course because that'd just be a waste of money).

Worst case scenario is that you have to challenge the course again. If you do, have the gf pay for it. Whenever I receive important documents I have to send away, I do it almost immediately to not have this happen.
 
The instructor had already sent that in so do call Mirami….. and get there advice. And “clean” your kit as well…….lol
 
Your local Firearms dept in NewBrunswick should be able to send you a copy.. or call CFC 800-731-4000 they should be able to explain and connect you directly.

The isntructor gets a copy for their records and for just such a case as this. If the instructor doesn't have his copy he's a crappy instructor.

By law, the instructor must keep a copy for 7yrs I believe, AND your CFO office will also have a copy if no joy with your instructor. If your instructor claims he doesnt have, let your CFO know about that as I am sure they will have a few words with him.
