Lots of Deer sightings, northern Ont this weekend

I know the season is a ways off, but I spotted a heck of a lot of deer while traveling up Highway 11 this past weekend a bunch frolicking around country dirt roads.

Not sure how they've made out in other WMUs, but looks like a lot around in the Nipissing area.

Great to hear. Anyone know how the Loring/Port Loring deer yards faired this year?

The French newspaper here in Montreal had an acticle mentioning they figure areas of Que. lost anywhere from 10% to 40% of the deer population this winter due to the record amount of snow we received this yr.

i was on a side road just south of barrie(the one were the 400 flea market is)i spotted in one field about 7 seven deer..
drove about two more klick,s then saw a another bunch of about the same amount..
they all looked healthy and well

Went ATVing yesterday saw close to a dozen in the corn fields. Drove to ottawa today saw 3 in the ditch. 1 of which had just been hit ... front of car smashed in police on scene at 10 am this morning. Saw 4 more in a field on the way home...they are moving!

Was around Spencerville and saw 24 in one powerline cut eating the cedars.
