Some months ago I started a thread with "And the winner is.." in reference to the A7 with Burris 3X9 40 that I had purchased from Al Flaherty in Toronto (the most important city in Canada according to Mr. Moldair). I finally got out last week to shoot it. Started at 25 yards and fired 6 rounds in 3 round groups to begin dialing it in. Well the first 6 went down the same hole albeit off the bull. I shot a couple more three round groups with adjustments after each group of three. Then I shot 6 rounds at the 100y plates for fun before I went home.
Today I went back to the range and this is how it shot...

You can basically work your way down from the top meaning that the final group hovering at the bull were the last 3 rounds. This is at 100y with a basic rest for the forend. Couldn't be happier with the rifle's feel, fit and performance. I will be shooting heavier grain in the next weeks as we are off moose hunting in mid October. With luck, the next pic will be me with an ungulate tamed by Sako.

I picked up Sako A7ss 270WSM pkgwith Burris scope for one of my nephews last year...great gun. I LOVE my Sako m75 rifles.

A hunting buddy of mine just bought a new Sako A7ss Roughtech in 300WM and a new Leupold VX2 3-9x40 with LRD duplex. We still need to mount the scope and get to the range.

I liked mine.
It liked every brands of ammo i tried in it.
I sold it to buy a Sako 75 but that the A7 was alot of gun for the money.

Hey thanks guys - kc its the soft touch I believe. Yeah probably a 75 in the far future as I said to my wife that the A7 will do me for "ten years" - though I suppose an argument could be made that my intention was dog years or some other skullduggery :).
