Is it worth low massing a 16" mid length gun ?

BCG buffer and Adjustable gas block?

Or is rifle length gas the way to go?

Everyone says rifle length is the way to go, but I've had decent results with mid length gas in the past.
A perfectly tuned rifle length system should feel softer than a mid, just by virtue of the extra length of the rifle length gas system, but feel is subjective.
Building a mid length now that has all the light "go fast" internals.
Will be interesting to shoot them side by side.

I'm on the fence right now. Want a JP low mass BCG. Why I have no idea.
My 16" mid length gas, with adj gas block and JP Bennie Cooley brake, with standard BCG and buffer shoots so soft.

Spend $4-500 plus for LM BCG set up, or ammo to shoot more. PS I'm shooting tomorrow.

Im running an 18" rifle with low mass parts....the rifle shoots very soft without any significant recoil

Can this be done with a 16"?...dunno, havent shot a 16" in quite some time.

I recently put a 16.5" ultralite with rifle length gas, ap carbon fibre forend, adjustable gas, jp cooley comp. Sooo light and shoots without any recoil.

Have you thought about taking the weights out of the buffer and tuning the gas down?

Any up dates on the voodoo carrier?

And where is the best place to look for a low mass carrier in Canada?
