HR, come out to Burke Mountain Saturday mornings and feel free to try out my RRA.
RRA is essentially brand new in the Canadian market, we can thank Questar for the insight to bring them in. They are great rifles, phenominal fit and finish. Once they become established in our country, as all new manufacturers do, I'm sure the prices will rise a little. The other factor, as mentioned earlier, is that RRA and Stag are both recent, we also have Colt, DPMS, Dlask, Armalite, Bushy and others... so there are more and more choices now.
Furthermore, with the advent of their new .223 and 9mm AR15 pistols you have the option of ordering a 10.5" or 7.5" upper and mounting it on a RRA lower that Questar should already have in stock. The pistol uppers are probably a couple months away from Canada but I intend on ordering a 10.5" 9mm upper. I wasn't sure about the matching up but emailed RRA and got a very promp response informing me that that would make a SBR and unless I had whatever licence it was illegal. Upon informing them I was Canadian they wished me the best of luck.
The main thing you'll see on the board here is comparisons with Stag, and you'll see a favouring of Stag merely because it's more established. I'm happy with my gun and in the future I think you'll see many more happy owners. For now enjoy the fact that you save a few hundred dollars over Dlask (and get better magazines and great service from Mark at Questar...) and you can be a pioneer in the new AR15 game.
