Lowest price of the year, 223 for $659 - 1,000 rounds

I just read an article stating the 223/556 and 9mm ammunition prices will be dropping.

I can't remember exactly why, but it had something to do concerning a Nato round, I think?

That is a really great price...if the majority of my .223/5.56 guns weren't banned, I would spring for this deal.

Just as an aside I was on GP, and some guy has the audacity to charge .70 cents per round for some grossly oxidized and corroded .223 rounds. Forget the fact that they are second hand, old, and clearly have had some water/moisture damage...just looking at the boxes it is clear those rounds aren't worth 7 cents a round, much less 70 cents. You can get brand new rounds from Tenda for cheaper. Why some people sell garbage, I don't understand.

Also have noticed 9mm going down in price lately as well, even on the secondary market. Another guy was selling PMC 9mm on GP for what amounted to $14.30 a box. I seriously wonder how much of this is due to PCC market drying up and no new handguns being bought/sold. Only so much 9mm one can sell to feed the Homesteader...

It MAY be prudent to consider stocking up now, with the (hopefully) inevitable reversal of OIC 2020 and 2024 guns and (hopeful) reversal of handgun freeze. Ammo prices will go through the roof once the banned guns are made available again.

Did the war in Ukraine end yet..... the tarrif news seems to have turned the page on that disaster.

Pretty sad that so much death and destruction, for years.... can just fade into distant memory for so many in the west..... happened to Covid, now Ukraine, I guess we can blame Trump and perhaps he is to blame for ending the war..... sort of makes a guy wonder what the next shinny new problem is going to be after Trump resets global trade,

I don't see the Canadian market being big enough to change ammo prices, but an economic downturn is happening and people do have less cash on hand for hobbies.... no doubt there will be some sales at gunstores, but we won't be driving North American pricing.
