gidday, these are lighter than my Steel QD rings, are they alright for holding me scope on me gun!?

$35 aud i think i am going to get a set an drop this Abolt weight rifle down!

just wondering if they are better than standard Tikka rings... ? or same page

TIA

Get the best ring you can afford. The weight of rings is very small, and not a factor. Change scope, rifle stock, remove bipod if equiped will make more sense than changing rings from steel to alu to save an ounce.
I would not consider rings at that price range on any of my rifle.

At 35 aud, I doupt very much they are genuine Leupold rings.

35 aud is $32 Canadian. Lowest I found for their rings is $34 usd -Canadian $40 on sale.
Made in the USA rings will cost more than that when hitting the Australian shores.
Low priced rings have their place on a .22 or low recoil gun. On a 30-06, get the good steel ring, specially if you hunt with it.

You do not mention which gun and caliber. On a .22 used only at thecrange you can by with cheap ring, but for any other gun, I would not consider rings at that price range. Stay with know brand.

Leupold is fairly known?

weaver style bases on a browning Abolt 30-06 currently in no brand Steel QD rings from nz origins? wanting to lose alot of weight just in the Aluminium scope rings, .... i know Tikka wre roumered to be bad but aslong as you didnt over tighten them, they were fine! :)

They look a bit chintzy but the price seems to be right. What’s a set of Talley lightweights go for down under?

The good one have torque value on the package or better on the rings..Chinease copy not so shure..but you seem commited to cheap..so ...

yeah i understan what ya sayin, these are Leupold Rifleman, which is their budget end of things but also a common name for their brandings.. scopes, rings, an other thngs.

Yep i am not made of money an i kind of dislike it but its something we need, i kind of also am the 'she'l be right' type too- i appreciate your advice.
thanks !
