LR/Precision Competitions in quebec/eastern ON?

Heyas,

I figured this is the place to ask... I'm really interested in what goes on in the Precision Rifles forums and I was wondering what kind of competitions, if any, go on in quebec/ eastern ON. Obviously, I have no clue, so I'm all ears. I'm curious to find out how things work in these competitions and what kind of categories there are...

Is there a website or something that would give me info on this sort of thing?

If possible, I'd even like to go see how it works... if there are any upcoming events, let me know.

Hi Furync, only two places in Québec for long range, Valcartier (600y)and Farnham(600m) military bases for more info you can go on www.pqra.org

I think there is also a place in ST Bruno where you can shoot 600m to 1000m. Contact Armtech by pm he does a lot of long range shooting in Quebec

ncrra.ca, Victoria weekend matches in Ottawa, LR matches in July and of course the DCRA matches in august. NCRRA shoots 300-900m several times a week, all at Connaught. Email me for more info

Nop! its official just received an e-mail from ssgp2 everything is transferd to Farham, St-Bruno is closed for 2006-2007 and have no garanty that it will open again but just wait to see Farnham's range I think its one of the most technologicaly advance in the world everything works by computer

Bruno has been closed for rebuilding. The concreate butts are in desperate shape. Unless some fool decides to sell off the danger area or cede the land to the park, it will reopen in due time.

In the interim, the PQRA will shoot up to 600 at Farnham, shoot in Valcartier (only 600 I think), and the DCRA has matches throughout the summer at Connaught.

The 1000 yd range in Mansonville is having trouble getting approved. The range has been safe for the first 75 yrs of its life, but the current mob of inspectors need to show their bosses they can flex their muscles and keep the province safe for motocross bikers and berry pickers who might trespass into the line of fire.

Furync - If you really want to stir things up, the Sand Hill rifle club between Birchton and Lennoxville had the facilities of a proper range until the pistol shooters instigated a coup d'etat against the rifle shooters.
