Hi folks

I am new to semi-auto shotguns and picked up the Derya Mk12 recently.

If I had to guess, the parts requiring some lubrication would be the bolt/rails but not sure what else I should apply some CLP to for lubrication. Any advice will be appreciated.

Does the gas piston or housing need lube? or any other parts I am missing?

CLP in the gas system for sure, and on the magazine tube. Shoot it wet. It's amazing stuff. Regular oil will cook into hard carbon; this doesn't.

The rails need some lubrication, as well as the bolt assembly. The best thing to do is take the gun apart and look for shiny metal parts where the bluing has worn off. There's your friction points.

On shotgunworld, under Remington guns, there is a pinned '1100 longevity tips' thread . It explains where and why, which should carry over to most semi autos. One of the tips I like is to coat the barrel extension with a thin film of grease where it fits into the receiver, acting as a cushion against vibration and shock. And a little grease where the bolt locking lug fits into the barrel extension notch.
