Hi guys,
I am cleaning my first milsurp rifle...a Mosin Nagant M91/30. I'm basically drawing from military experience here from the C7.
In the army we only basically lubricated metal on metal parts and not the bolt face if I remember correctly.
So how does this go on a milsurp weapon. From what i've read, it seems as though a lot of people spread a thin coat of oil over everything metal. Is this the appropriate thing? Are there areas to avoid such as the bolt face and barrel and chamber that should be clear of all oils and basically be dry before firing?
Thanks for any insight.
